Il Barbaresco DOCG di Gaja rappresenta una delle più alte espressioni del Nebbiolo delle Langhe, un vino di prestigio che coniuga eleganza e complessità in una delle annate più interessanti della fine del secolo scorso.
La vinificazione avviene con cura artigianale, con lunga macerazione e affinamento in legno che permette al vino di sviluppare profondità e struttura, mantenendo al contempo la finezza tipica del cru di provenienza.
Alla vista si presenta con un colore granato intenso e luminoso. Al naso sprigiona note evolute di frutti rossi maturi, spezie dolci, tabacco, cuoio e richiami balsamici. In bocca è armonico, avvolgente, con tannini setosi e una persistenza lunghissima che rivela grande equilibrio.
Perfetto in abbinamento con carni rosse importanti, brasati, selvaggina e formaggi stagionati di grande carattere.
